Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 10 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav condoled the demise of veteran industrialist Ratan Tata and said that his life is a university in itself.
“Ratan Tata, a great industrialist and a person who was always sensitive and dedicated towards the service of the nation and humanity, is no more among us. Late Ratan Tata’s life is a university in itself, he hadn’t only seen big dreams but has fulfilled them as well. He was so sensitive that when he saw people going on bikes with 2-3 children, he imagined that the poor should also get a car. So, he saw the dream of- ‘lakhtakia car’,” CM Yadav told ANI.
“To lose such a personality is a loss for everyone. It is an hour of grief that Tata is no more among us. He has left his mark in all the fields of life and made his identity. I pray to Baba Mahakal to give him a place at His lotus feet. Om Shanti!” he added.
Earlier in a post on X, CM Yadav wrote, “The demise of the country’s renowned industrialist Ratan Tata is an irreparable loss not only for the industry but also for all Indians.”
“Today the country has lost a great industrialist as well as a very sensitive person who was always dedicated to the service of the nation and humanity. His departure will always leave a void not only in India but also in the industry world. His contribution to the development of the country will remain unforgettable,” he further wrote.
Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons, passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 86 on Wednesday.
Tata, born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, was the Chairman of Ratan Tata Trust and Dorabji Tata Trust, two of the largest private-sector-promoted philanthropic trusts in India. He was the Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, from 1991 until his retirement in 2012. Then he was appointed Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons.
He was honoured with the country’s second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2008. (ANI)
