Pundri (Haryana) [India], October 1 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is committed to advancing Haryana.
At an election rally on Monday, the Chief Minister criticised the Congress, accusing them of spreading “lies” to deceive the public.
“PM Modi’s government has a clear vision for moving Haryana forward; for us, the party comes later and the nation first. We are dedicated to advancing the entire nation,” Dhami said while supporting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Satpal Jambha from Pundri.
“Meanwhile, the Congress and INDI alliance partners sometimes contest elections together in Delhi, but separately in Haryana and Punjab. You (the people) should not be misled by their falsehoods,” he added.
Dhami also campaigned in Faridabad for BJP candidate Dhanesh Adlakha, receiving a warm welcome upon his arrival.
Elsewhere, at a rally in Haryana, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh responded to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s remark about not dying until PM Modi is “removed from power,” by saying, “I pray that Mallikarjun Kharge lives for 125 years and that PM Modi remains Prime Minister for as long.”
During a rally in Charkhi Dadri, Singh stated, “I respect Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Yesterday, despite feeling unwell at a rally and being assisted by security personnel, he declared his intention to live until he removes Modi Ji from office. According to our beliefs, the maximum lifespan in Kalyug is 125 years. Thus, I pray for his long life and for PM Modi’s continued leadership.”
Notably, Kharge felt unwell during a campaign rally in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, but after resting, reiterated his determination to continue until PM Modi is ousted.
Singh criticised the Congress’s administration, citing Himachal Pradesh as an example of their inability to pay employees. He remarked, “The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are merely putting on a show and have declared they will not accept any salary.”
Haryana is set to vote on October 5 to elect its 90-member state legislative assembly, with the results to be announced on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the largest single party with 40 seats, followed by the Congress with 30 seats. The BJP is confident of securing a third term in government. (ANI)
