Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], October 2 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met the Bharatiya Janata Party workers at Ranchi airport and appreciated their efforts in serving the party.
“At Ranchi Airport, I talked to the workers serving in the BJP office. I am proud that there are many such workers in our party who are working day and night to strengthen the party,” PM Modi posted on X.

Earlier, PM Modi laid the foundation stone, inaugurated and launched various projects worth over Rs 83,300 crore in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh.
Addressing the public gathering in Jharkhand’s Hazaribagh, PM Modi said that 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are being inaugurated and foundation stones have been laid for 25 more EMRS.
“Our tribal community will progress when tribal youth get the opportunity for good education. For this, our government is working hard towards building Eklavya Model Residential Schools in tribal areas. From here, 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) are being inaugurated and foundation stones have been laid for 25 EMRS,” PM Modi said.
This visit marks the second time in 17 days that PM Modi is in Jharkhand, following his previous visit to Jamshedpur on September 15.
In order to boost the educational infrastructure for the tribal communities, the Prime Minister inaugurated 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and laid the foundation stone for 25 EMRS worth over Rs 2,800 crore.
The Prime Minister also launched the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan scheme with a total outlay of over Rs 79,150 crore.
Jharkhand is expected to hold elections for its 81-member legislative assembly by December 2024, as the current government’s tenure is set to end in January 2025. The Election Commission is yet to announce the election schedule.
In the 2020 assembly election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, the Bharatiya Janta Party 25 and the Congress won 16. (ANI)
