New Delhi [India], November 28 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised the ‘One Nation One Subscription’ scheme, recently approved by the Union Cabinet, and said that the government is committed to giving the youth all the opportunities that will make them shine and excel.
In a post on X, PM Modi reacted to a post from the official handle of ‘MyGovIndia’ that mentioned the scheme.
“Our Yuva Shakti can do wonders! And, we are committed to giving them all the opportunities that will make them shine and excel,” PM Modi said on X.
My Gov India post had stated that PM Modi’s “visionary initiative” is reshaping education and research in the country “like never before.”
“India is betting big on its youth! Imagine a world where 6,300 institutions and 1.8 crore students and researchers can access global knowledge with ease. With One Nation, One Subscription, PM Narendra Modi’s visionary initiative is reshaping education and research like never before.”
“This is just one step in a larger mission. The Government has also launched initiatives like the PM Internship Scheme, PM Vidyalaxmi Scheme and Anusandhan National Research Foundation to empower our youth,” it added.
The ‘One Nation One Subscription’ is a facility for the government higher education institutions and R&D laboratories of the central government.
A total of about Rs 6,000 crore has been allocated for One Nation One Subscription for three calendar years, 2025, 2026 and 2027 as a new Central Sector Scheme.
“One Nation One Subscription will build on and further enhance the scope and reach of the range of initiatives undertaken by the Government of India over the past decade in the domains of education, for maximizing access to quality higher education for the youth of India,” the release said.
“This will supplement the ANRF initiative to promote research and development and foster a culture of research and innovation throughout government universities, colleges, research institutions, and R&D laboratories,” it added. (ANI)
