Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], July 26 (ANI): Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, on Thursday, July 26, instructed the district and tehsil administrators in the state level ‘Swagat’ (State Wide Attention on Grievances by Application of Technology) program to resolve the complaints and problems of the citizens at the district and tehsil level. He directed officials to adopt a proactive approach to resolve it.
He said, “It is necessary to remove such a situation where people’s problems are not resolved for a long time at the district and tehsil level ‘Swagat’ and they have to come to the state ‘Swagat’ for this.”
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave these instructions while giving guidance to the district administration to resolve the complaints and problems received during the state-level ‘Swagat’ online program for July.
“Heard the submissions of the petitioning citizens in the state level ‘Swagat’ program organized at Gandhinagar, and provided necessary guidance and instructions to the officials for their speedy positive resolution,” the Chief Minister said in a post on X.
On this occasion, Bhupendra Patel also reviewed the performance of Tehsildars in the Tehsil level ‘Swagat’ program.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel understood their grievances in detail from the representatives and instructed the secretaries of the concerned departments and the concerned district-urban administrators for their quick redressal. The concerned representatives also expressed their satisfaction in this regard.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Pankaj Joshi, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Avantika Singh, and Officer on Special Duty, Dheeraj Parekh, besides senior officers of the concerned departments, were present.
Earlier, the Chief Minister and the Collectors of seven districts affected by heavy rains in Gujarat and the Municipal Commissioners of Surat and Vadodara held a video conference from the State Emergency Operation Center to review the rain situation and the relief and rescue operations.
Necessary instructions were given to evacuate people from the low-lying areas of the affected districts to safe places and such shelters to maintain health and food supply systems. Apart from this, instructions were also given to take up the works of pesticide spraying, cleaning and removal of fallen trees on priority. The meeting also deliberated on arrangements for relief by conducting a proper survey of cases of human death and animal death as well as damage to agriculture. (ANI)
