Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], March 3 (ANI): BRS leader K Kavitha on Monday asked the Congress government in Telangana to fulfill its promise of giving Rs 2500 to every woman in the state.
She also asked the Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to implement the scheme from March 8, on International Women’s Day.
“Today, Telangana Jagruthi demands from the Congress govt that it fulfil its promise that it will give Rs 2500 to every woman in the state. We are demanding that this scheme be implemented immediately. We are sending postcards to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, asking him to start implementing this scheme from 8th March,” the BRS leader told ANI, flanked by scores of protesting women
“Our 10,000 party workers will go to many villages and collect postcards to be sent to Sonia ji (Congress MP Sonia Gandhi) as people of the state believed in Congress….,” Kavitha added.
The BRS leader also attacked the State government and highlighted the law and order situation in the state.
“The crime rate has increased by 20 per cent in the state. Neither our livelihood issues nor our security issues are addressed by the state government…If the Telangana govt doesn’t listen to our demand, we will flood 10 Janpath with lakhs of postcards,” Kavitha said.
Meanwhile K Kavitha on Monday criticised Telangana government’s efforts in connection with the operations to rescue workers trapped in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel collapse.
Speaking with ANI, K Kavitha said, “This is an unfortunate incident where labourers from many states have been stuck in the collapsed tunnel for many days. The rescue operation could have been carried out with better coordination. I feel the state government did not give in their all.” (ANI)
