Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], July 30 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai bid farewell to former Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan in Mana on Tuesday.
Speaking to ANI, Sai said that, under the leadership of former Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, the state has developed in many sectors.
“Our government had his (Biswabhushan Harichandan’s) blessings and support. Under his leadership, our state developed in many sectors. Today, his tenure has been completed, so we bid him farewell. He has assured me that he will maintain his relations with the people of Chhattisgarh,” he said.
Sai also took to X, bidding farewell to the former governor. “Today we all bid farewell to the Honourable Governor Shri Bishwabhushan Harichandan Ji at the State Hangar in Mana. He left for Bhubaneswar. Chhattisgarh has established new dimensions of progress under the guidance of the honourable governor. I wish him a long and healthy life. He said that his love and affection for the people of Chhattisgarh will remain lifelong,” he said.
The farewell ceremony was organised at the State Hangar in Mana, after which Biswabhusan Harichandan left for Bhubaneswar.
Bishwabhushan Harichandan will be replaced by Ramen Deka, a former Lok Sabha member from Assam as well as a former BJP national secretary.
Sai further welcomed the Deka at the State Hanger in Mana, today.
In another post in X, Sai said, “Welcome! Today, the new Governor of Chhattisgarh, Shri Ramen Deka Ji, was welcomed by presenting a flower bouquet at the State Hangar in Mana. During this, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh Ji, cabinet colleagues and MLAs were also present. Under the excellent guidance of respected Ramen Deka Ji, our state will definitely take new steps towards “Developed Chhattisgarh”. 3 crore Chhattisgarh residents heartily welcome and congratulate the newly appointed governor.”

On Saturday, July 27, President Droupadi Murmu named new governors for ten states, including Chhattisgarh. (ANI)
