New Delhi [India], September 29 (ANI): Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Sunday visited the spot where an incident of firing occurred in a car showroom in the Naraina area of Delhi on Friday, September 27. Bharadwaj was accompanied by AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak.
Speaking to ANI after reaching the spot Bharadwaj raised questions about the law and order situation in the national capital and held Union Home Minister and Delhi LG accountable for the same.
“In a posh area of Naraina gangsters enter a car showroom and take staff at gunpoint and demand Rs 5 crore as extortion and fire 24 rounds. Similar incidents have happened in Delhi at three different places. This incident has raised a question among the owners of the showroom, whether India is safe for them and this is very unfortunate,” said Saurabh Bharadwaj.

“We had never thought that gangsters would be active in such a manner. How is getting possible in Delhi that gangsters who are lodged in jails are operating such big gangs? Center is doing what? it’s the responsibility of Home Minister and Delhi LG,” he added further.
AAP leader Durgesh Pathak who accompanied Bharadwaj reacted to the firing incident and said, “This is the main market of the Naraina area and firing was done at a car showroom…Ransom was being demanded from them for the past six months and they filed a complaint regarding it to the police and other agencies but no action was taken…There is no law and order in Delhi…”
DCP West Vichitra Veer responding to the incident on Saturday said that more than 10 rounds of bullets were fired and three people have been identified who opened fire.
DCP West Vichitra Veer said, “We received information that some people had opened fire at a car showroom. Police reached the spot and the crime team has also been called. More than 10 rounds of bullets were fired. There are no casualties. 3 people have been identified who have opened fire. Teams have been formed to trace them. Crime team has also reached.” (ANI)
