Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 29 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh Forest Department on Wednesday deployed an infrared drone in which the presence of two wolves was shot in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich.
Speaking to ANI, Ajeet Pratap Singh, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), said that the drones have captured the movement of two wolves near the village.
“We have alerted our people in the village… We have spotted two wolves in our drone nearly 100 metres away from our location. We went to the spot and noticed footsteps and hence it was confirmed that two wolves had passed from here,” Singh said.

The forest department is trying new methods to capture these wolves as the terror of man-eating wolves has continued unabated in Bahraich for the past two months, where eight people have been killed, as per district administration.
The search operations are underway by locals and the administration.
Bahraich District Magistrate Monika Rani said, “In the last 2 months, several incidents have come to light that wolves have attacked people in Bahraich and some people have lost their lives as well.”
“Public representatives, police departments and other departments are working together and are trying to make people aware that people should sleep inside their houses. The Forest Department is also making continuous efforts. We will soon catch the wolves… Compensation has been given to some of the people. We are careful that there should not be any loss of life or property,” she further added. (ANI)
